The Hotline Committee helps ensure that a Lincoln A.A. member is available to respond when someone reaches out for help through the Nebraska A.A. or Lincoln hotline.
What We Do
The committee coordinates A.A. member volunteers who help respond to hotline calls. Activities include:
- Maintaining hotline volunteer lists and schedules
- Providing signup sheets to Lincoln-area A.A. groups
- Coordinating completed volunteer schedules with the answering service
- Helping ensure calls can be connected with an A.A. member when someone reaches out for help
Hotline volunteers may talk with someone who is looking for A.A., help them find a meeting, or connect with other A.A. members when a Twelfth Step call or additional assistance is appropriate.
Get Involved
Any A.A. member is welcome to participate. Hotline service is an opportunity to be there when someone reaches out to A.A.—sometimes for the very first time.
Look for the Telephone Answering Service signup sheet at Lincoln-area A.A. groups.
