The PI/CPC Committee helps carry the A.A. message by making accurate information about Alcoholics Anonymous available to the public and to professionals who may come into contact with people who have a drinking problem.
What We Do
Public Information (PI) helps the general public understand what A.A. is, what A.A. does, and how to find us.
Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) helps professionals better understand A.A. so they can provide accurate information to people who may need our help.
Committee activities may include:
- Providing A.A. information and literature to healthcare professionals, counselors, clergy, educators, attorneys, law enforcement, and others who may encounter people with a drinking problem
- Providing information about local A.A. meetings and how to contact A.A.
- Arranging A.A. informational presentations for schools, community organizations, and professional groups
- Helping make A.A. information available through public-service announcements and other appropriate media
- Working with community organizations and professionals in a spirit of cooperation without affiliation
